I've been taking my car here for almost 2 years now and have always had friendly service and fair service prices. These guys inspected a used car I was purchasing and even vouched for me in getting new tires in the deal from my seller. I've always felt like they take care of my car and never try to rip me off in the process. Thank you guys for keeping my car running smoothly!

Snow Tires Salt Lake City

Snow Tires Salt Lake City - When selecting snow tires for use in Salt Lake City Utah, it's important to consider options that align with the Utah's state requirements and offer superior winter performance. Utah now mandates the use of certified snow tires displaying the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol for most passenger cars and light-duty trucks during severe winter weather.

These tires are specifically designed to excel in winter conditions, making them a reliable option for Utah's diverse weather. For vehicles with four-wheel drive, all-wheel drive, or light trucks, mounting M+S (all-season) tires may meet the state's snow tire and chain regulations, as specified by the Utah Department of Transportation. How to Choose The Right Tires for Your Car or Truck

in Salt Lake City

When choosing the right tires for your car or truck, it's crucial to consider several key factors to ensure optimal performance and safety. First, it is important to understand your preferences. Is a quiet ride important to you? Do the surfaces you drive on change often? Is traction more important to you than how long a tire lasts (soft tires grip better but wear out faster). Second is deciding if you want a performance tire, or something that rides smoother. Low profile tires look good, but don’t tend to “ride” as well.

Lastly, we know many of our clients need to consider budget - when you are looking to buy tires in Salt Lake City, our trained experts will help you balance cost with performance in helping you choose the best tires for your car or truck.

What Types of Tires Does Jones Complete Car Care Have

Jones Complete Car has a wide selection of tires to choose from.

Our Tires Include:

  • Touring tires -  for all makes and models of Cars, Trucks, and SUV's. Touring tires are high mileage, long lasting tires that cost less than traction, snow, or performance tires

  • Summer Tires - these tires are good for wet and dry conditions while driving in most places during the summer.

  • Performance Tires - Performance tires offer additional grip on the road in wet or dry conditions. But, because performance tires are softer (which is how they achieve additional grip), they do not last as long as other tires.

  • Winter Tires - Winter tires are great for climates like Salt Lake City and the entire mountain west. If you are planning to drive in the snow, or up the canyons around Salt Lake City, Winter Tires are a good idea.

  • All Terrain Tires - If you are going off-road on the BLM land around Salt Lake City, or Moab, or St. George, all terrain tires are for you. Soft sand, loose rock, rocks, and mud may all be enchanted in Utah.

These are just some of tires you can buy at Jones Complete Car Care. We have different brands and different variations for all these types of tires.

Let our ASE Certified Mechanics help you pick the best tire for your car, truck, or SUV.

Frequently Asked Questions About Tires Salt Lake City

Does Jones Complete Car Care Offer Nitrogen Inflation for Tires in Salt Lake City?

Yes - we offer nitrogen inflation for car and truck tires in Salt Lake City, which is important when traveling in Utah where altitude changes impact tire pressure if you use air in your tires instead of nitrogen

How Do I Know When I Need New Tires?

If you take a quarter and turn it upside down (Image's head pointing down) and insert George Washington's head into your tire tread - if the treat does not at least cover part of his head, you need new tires. Or if you have a good ruler, you should never had less than 1/16'' of tire tread left on your tires.

You should also visually inspect your tires for any cupping (bulges in the tread) or bulges in the side wall of your tires. These can lead to catastrophic tire failure and lead to a vehicle wreck.

Perhaps the best way is to have your tires checked by an ASE Certified Mechanic. They know everything that needs inspected and can help educate you on any issues your tires may be experiencing.

How Often Should I Have My Tires Rotated?

You should get your tires rotated about every 5,000 miles. A good habit to get into is to have your tires rotated every time you get your oil changed. For cars that use synthetic oil, that should be around 5,000 miles. Tires do not wear evenly. By getting your tires rotated, you will get the maximum wear out of all four tires on your car or truck.
